Né à Shawinigan en 1963 et diplômé de l’Académie des arts de Montréal en 1984, JJRD est tour à tour photographe, concepteur graphique, artiste conceptuel et écrivain. Entre 1985 et 1991, JJRD est membre fondateur et intervenant culturel au sein de la Société de Conservation du Présent. Cette période sera marquée par une multitude d'interventions culturelles, et ce dans des contextes variés. Au cours des années ‘90, JJRD se consacre essentiellement à l’écriture et il publie quatre ouvrages. En début de millénaire? JJRD expérimente toujours. Il oeuvre présentement au sein de l'équipe du Festival de théâtre de rue de Shawinigan, du conseil d'administration du Groupe Territoire Culturel et du collectif Gènes candidats.

Born in Shawinigan in 1963 and educated at the Montreal Academy of Fine Arts, JJRD is a photographer, graphic designer, conceptual artist and writer. From 1985 to 1991, JJRD was, along with Alain Bergeron and Philippe Côté, founder and cultural activist with la Société de Conservation du Présent. That period is marked by a multitude of cultural interventions in as many forms one can possibly imagine. In the 90's, JJRD essentially wrote and published four books. At the beginning of this very millennium? Well, JJRD is still experimenting, with the Shawinigan Street Theatre Festival, Groupe Territoire Culturel & Gènes candidats.
